The Music Network Meeting Today at 4pm, 30th October 2008 at Birmingham TIC

The Music Network organises a NETWORKING EVENT on the last Thursday of each month, 4-6pm at The BCU Technology and Innovation Centre(TIC), Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG. (directions/info tel: 08712 262725)

Today's meeting will be open to all.

Thursday 30th October 4pm til 6pm at The TIC, Birmingham.

The Birmingham branch of Musicians Union will be supplying luxury chocolate biscuits and good coffee for all. There’s food and drink afterwards supplied by the creative networks lot too. Come and talk about Music and Quantum Physics or what you’re up to and meet some new people, you know it may make sense.

The Music Network organises the meeting for the benefit of music related businesses in the West Midlands region. If you have news to report, a presentation to give, an event to promote, any new points for discussion, a pitch to make, business cards or flyers to hand round, an appeal for help, advice or guidance or even if you just want the free tea and biscuits and some quality entertainment…you are all invited. This post was brought to you without the use of the word "is"

Forget A or Not A

Ok my answer to Andrew Dubber's “Is it more important that music businesses make money, or is it more important that culture expands, innovates and grows?”

I'm off the rails here by a long way, again, but Andrew sparked off a thought that reminded me of something that may be interesting to share. Forget the original question...here's a thought for the day.

First of all forget the concept of IT IS EITHER A or NOT A

second try Quantum Physics http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=f1NmMJ25bTY

Any model we make does not describe the universe it describes what our brains are capable of saying at this time. All perception is gamble. We believe what we see and then we believe our interpretation of it we dont even know we’re making an interpretation most of the time.

Nightingales - Pigs on Purpose Blog reviews

Monday, October 13, 2008
The Nightingales - Pigs On Purpose
On this date in 1982, The Nightingales released their debut album, Pigs On Purpose. It contained the single, "Use Your Loaf". The Birmingham, England post punk band rose from the ashes of The Prefects, a punk band that included original Nightingales members Robert Lloyd, Paul Apperley, Eamonn Duffy and Joe Crow. Nightingales disbanded in 1986 after three albums and numerous lineup changes. They have reunited and released new material.
